Karuna Jeeva Kalyana Trust (KJKT), founded in 2000 by Dr. K.L. Nagaraj Shetty, focuses on social welfare in Davangere, Karnataka. One of its primary initiatives is promoting girl child education by distributing books, study materials, and merit-based scholarships and financial support to financially backward students. KJKT offers free counseling sessions on adolescent health issues. Additionally, the Trust offers vocational training and employment opportunities for women in need. In health awareness, KJKT organizes free medical camps, distributes medicines, and runs awareness programs on diabetes, blood pressure control, and tobacco-free living. The Trust is also dedicated to environmental conservation, planting saplings, providing water for animals, and conducting awareness seminars. Culturally, KJKT fosters literary appreciation and youth empowerment through workshops. One of its notable programs includes distributing bicycles to underprivileged laborers, addressing transportation challenges, promoting physical health, and supporting economic opportunities. Through these efforts, KJKT aims to uplift marginalized communities, reduce poverty, and contribute to sustainable development.[1]
